CINEMAGIC ("we", "us", "our") operates the ctix.ca and cinemagicart.com websites and the CINEMAGIC mobile app (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and phone number when you create an account or sign in (including via Sign in with Apple or Google).
- Purchases — the tickets, festival passes, and order history associated with your account.
- Payment information — card and Apple Pay payments are processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
- Device and notifications — if you allow notifications, a push token (via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you ticket and event updates.
- Log data — basic technical information such as IP address and app or browser version.
Location
Some festivals provide a GPS "Getting There" trail to help you drive to remote campsites on back roads that are not on standard maps. When you open that screen and grant permission, the app uses your device location only on your device to show your position on the route. Your location is not transmitted to our servers, stored, tracked, or shared. The app requests "While Using the App" location access only.
How We Use Information
We use your information to provide the Services: to create and manage your account, sell and deliver tickets and passes, process payments, send transactional and event notifications, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services, under contract and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google (Firebase) — delivery of push notifications.
- Apple and Google — optional account sign-in.
- Event organizers — the name and email tied to a ticket, so the organizer can admit you and contact you about the event you registered for.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal and accounting obligations. You can delete your account at any time directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account), or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes or anonymizes your personal information, except for records we are required to retain by law.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
